Creative Future is doing crucial work. Awards like these can be the spotlights that direct the book business's notoriously unadventurous attention away from the status quo.
Patrick Gale, Novelist
Creative Future are a great outfit. As someone who started on the margins myself, the work they do supporting writers up against it is second to none. That's why I support CF Literary Awards.
John O'Donoghueauthor of 'Sectioned: A Life Interrupted', awarded Mind Book of the Year 2010
Creativity belongs to everyone. Creativity helps people survive hard times. Creativity can't be taken from us, but given encouragement, it grows. That's why I'm supporting Creative Future Literary Awards.
Poetry gave me a space where I did not feel marginalised any more, whether I was writing about race, sexuality or mental health, I never felt I had to be anything other than my authentic self. Any platform that encourages this form of expression should be applauded and supported.
It brings great joy to me personally to know that there are places out there like Creative Future, providing those in need, with the right mentoring, training and the chance to publish and publicly exhibit their work.
